H.H. Brown Internship
Marketing and Social Media Design Intern
The summer after my junior year at Parsons I was lucky enough to get the chance to intern in marketing at one of the "Berkshire Hathaway family of companies", H. H. Brown, which owns 19 brands of shoes for which they design, produce, and/or sell their product. During my internship I had the opportunity to work specifically on the brands Korks, Kork Ease, and B.O.C.
I worked on different projects for these three brands including photography/editing, social media content generation, and email campaigns.
Some of the photo editing I did was of photographs that were already taken.
However, I was also able to stage and photograph several pictures myself, like this one for B.O.C. Shoes, that were then used for their social media.
In addition to editing images for social media I proposed and worked on stories for the Kork Ease instagram. For example, I started an ongoing "#OOTD" (Outfit of The Day) story.
I also started a "# SoTW" (Shoe of The Week) story using animations to show off the selected shoe rather than just an image. I decided to use animations for this story to add an element of playfulness to the Kork Ease instagram as animations were never used before.
